AninvestigationbyOhioSecretaryofStateFrankLaRosehasuncoveredover1,000noncitizenswho“appeartohaveregisteredtovoteunlawfullyinOhio,”hisofficeannouncedTuesday.
LaRosesayshehasreferredall1,084casestotheDepartmentofJustice,notingthat167oftheindividualsappeartohavecastaballotinafederalelectionsince2018.LaRose’sofficealsoreferred135othersforpotentialprosecution,citingevidenceofotherunlawfulvotingactivity.
“OhiohasearneditsreputationastheGoldStandard,andourElectionIntegrityUnitcontinuestoprovewhy,”LaRosesaidinastatementtoFoxNewsDigital.“Weworktirelesslytoensurethateveryeligiblevoter’svoiceisheard,andanyonewhotriestocheatthesystemwillfaceseriousconsequences.”
